Mission: The FourthCinema Indigenous Film Festival seeks to support, facilitate the creation of, and exhibit audio-visual works, new media, and performative works created by indigenous artists.
Vision: Continual artistic practice is one of the tools of preservation and survival for indigenous communities. Artistic expression, education, and the preservation of tribal cultures is a driving motivation for our festival. This festival will give a voice and visibility to individuals and larger tribal communities by giving a platform to Indigenous filmmakers and audio-visual artists.
In fall of 2021, the San Antonio, Texas-based FourthCinema Native Film Festival will host three days of new short and feature-length movies made by Indigenous/First Nations/Native American filmmakers from around the world.
Short films, feature-length movies, and documentaries will be offered in several programs.
